have a very merry food coma
Happy Thanksgiving! I've been so busy this semester..it is so nice to be home for even the briefest moment to enjoy great food with my fabulous family. This year, our theme was pear. My mom made pear brandy, and I was in charge of mixing cocktails. We had Pear Bellinis, with pear nectar, pear brandy and champagne, and Pear Sidecars. So yummy!
Here's our spread. We had too much food as usual. But I love leftovers, so I can't complain (turkey quesadillas...yum)
The whole gang! (and maybe for the first time, no actual kiddie table since we're not really kids anymore..weird.)
And of course, dessert. We had...Peacan pie, fudge, caramel apple pie, poached pears in caramel, pumpkin pie (of course), lemon bars, homemade vanilla and caramel pear gelato...and I'm probably forgetting something!
And my tiny 15 minute painting I did of the turkey fresh out of the oven!
Now off to food coma land....
